What He Started - He Will Finish

Well hello blogging world!
For those that still follow my blog, thank you. For those that don't, well I can't say I don't blame you.  I have found a spare moment today to actually blog & conveniently the Lord laid a huge message on my heart this morning and I want to share.

But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?"
-Mark 4: 40-41

Judah Smith, a pastor from the north west, spoke today at church. I am always disappointed when Craig isn't preaching; however, the Lord really showed me this morning why it is so beneficial to hear from other pastors. I was blown away by Judah's wisdom and guidance. I will try my very best to sum up a very powerful message. I am going to highlight the points that really stuck out to me and relate to what I am walking through, as a woman who is trying her very hardest to follow Christ yet failing to my flesh.

What do you do when you are not where you used to be BUT you're not where you are supposed to be?

Sounds like a million dollar question, right?
This question can apply to many areas of my life: I graduate in May, will I find a job OR will I be jobless? Will I get a job but teaching middle school? (Lord, please don't make me teach 7th grade!!) Will I find a place to live with friends or will I live alone? Lord, when will I get engaged? Isn't 5 years long enough to date someone... You know, all those questions that go through your mind! Anyways, I have never so clearly heard God's voice then I did today through Judah.

The MEANTIME is IMPORTANT. All of this "waiting" is exactly where I am supposed to be. I am supposed to relish in the moment rather than worrying about the future. I am called by God to stay in the boat. I am supposed to rest in God's comfort, trust in His perfect plan for my life, and have Faith that the same God that moves mountains has His hand in my life. I am called to stay in the boat and trust that He is the captain of my ship. Because He is.

So, how do I get to the other side?
I don't.
I don't get to the other side, not alone anyways.
But with God's guidance I WILL get to the other side.
With God's guidance I will find a job, teaching the perfect grade.
With God's guidance I will live with roommates or I will live in the cutest 1 bedroom apt there ever was.
And by golly, with God's guidance I will be engaged in His perfect timing.

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
-Galatians 6:9

We don't know when "due season" is. But we do know that God does not make promises that He doesn't keep. He tells those who follow Him that we will REAP if we don't lose heart.
